Scottish parliament closes after roof falls in

Not metaphorically - literally. One of the roof beams in the debating chamber collapsed.

Ouch! Could have had someone's eye out with that - leaving them unable to remove the mote from their brother's eye... Sorry, anyway - I'm not one of the building's detractors; I thought it was rather good - albeit a tad on the costly side. This is a bit embarrassing, though. Apparently "weak glue" was the problem.

Glue - it's stuck together with glue? Now, I don't know a damn thing about construction but shouldn't this sort of thing be held together with nuts and bolts and stuff?
